Join us for an evening of radical reading where we will be discussing Andre Bagoo’s ‘The Dreaming’, followed by a book swap social!
Are you interested in discovering a broad field of literature, supporting independent publishers and bookshops, and platforming marginalised authors? Join us in Treasures of the Brotherton for an evening of radical reading!
We’ll be partnering up with Peepal Tree Press, Hold Fast Bookshop and Next Chapter Books, taking a closer look at Andre Bagoo’s short story collection ‘The Dreaming’. We will be specifically focusing on the short story ‘M.S.’
With current conversations around literature - such as engaging with a broader scope of literature from a range of voices, diversity in publishing, and who exactly an author writes for - we bring you an evening to tackle these very questions. Through this collection we will be exploring the place, purpose, and role of independent publishers and bookshops in the wider context of platforming diverse voices.
We will follow the panel discussion with a book swap social. So, make sure to bring along your books, and be ready to meet your next favourite read! There will also be refreshments throughout the event to fuel the conversation!
We can’t wait to see you there!
