It’s the turn of Drew Caines, a ceramist and visual artist, and a recent addition to the Gallery members’ team.

The primary focus of his art is the relationship between humans, other animals and our world. Drew fuses ancient, ethnographic and folk-art sources alongside Victorian industrial design with modern influences such as Japanese character culture, pop surrealism and Street Art to produce contemporary, yet timeless artworks. Stylistically, he waivers between stripped back minimalism, the naturalistic curves of Palaeolithic cave painting and the maximalist energy of the digital world.

This exciting artist fills his ceramics with personal and historical references, but leaves their interpretations to the viewer.
