Come along to Bramley Baths for our 120 Years Birthday Celebration, doors open at 1.30pm for this not to be missed celebration.

For 120 years Bramley Baths has served the community of Bramley, and what better way to celebrate than with a circus themed community birthday party.

And what celebration would be complete without live performance? As well as arts & crafts activities,  'dress up' for children and light refreshments, we've got clowns, suffragettes, fire eater, hula artist, mermaids, our very own master of ceremonies plus arts and crafts and light refreshments in the studio that will hopefully bring back some memories of swimming from back in the day…

Our poolside performances not to be missed:

1:40 - 2:00 – “That Hoop Girl” - a highly-skilled hula hoop performance including multi-hooping bringing high energy with her poolside performance.

2:30 - 2:35 - Mermaid Performance – The fantastic Bramley Mermaids will be performing their synchronised swimming routine to the sounds of “Fever,” “Love fool,” and “Murder on the Dancefloor”

2:45 - 3:00 – “Miss Embers” bringing the fire to the event – literally! Miss Embers will be performing her mystifying, exhilarating fire breathing performance on our poolside.

3:30 - 4:00 - Mermaids in the water – Your chance to swim and meet our mesmerising Bramley Mermaids, in the water!

Plus – walk about clown performer and special guest appearance the formidable suffragette Mary Gawthorpe – she’s looking well for her age…

And guess what, entry into the building is free!

A little background, in 2011 the local community, residents, organisations, schools and councillors of Bramley responded with a high-profile campaign to ‘save the Baths’ when it was threatened with closure. By 2013, they had secured community led status for the pool. Fast-forward to now and Bramley Baths is a thriving community enterprise powered by people, a professional staff team supported by a voluntary Board of Trustees, and a growing membership.

And if you are planning to come along for one of the three fun swim sessions, then tickets are just £2 per person, BUT booking is essential.
