Mo Robertson is an artist whose autobiographical work looks at mental health and social stigma. Both confrontational and confessional it is work that argues for personal growth and societal change.

BasementArtsProject is an experimental art venue and family home in Beeston, South Leeds. Since April 2011 we have worked with more than 200 artists; these have ranged from undergraduate and early career through to established artists, and all in the context of daily life.

Holocaust Memorial Day 2025: For A Better Future

A Civic Remembrance Event, with the theme ‘For A Better Future’.

This international day of remembrance focuses on the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered in the Holocaust, and millions more people killed under German Nazi persecution, and in subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

The Lord Mayor will open this year’s civic remembrance event, which will include a keynote speech by Nick Winton, son of Sir Nicholas Winton MBE.
