Leeds Biodiversity & Regenerative Food Festival

The Leeds Biodiversity & Regenerative Food Festival is launching this September. Join us in Kirkgate Market for a free event that will bring together and celebrate the growers, producers and organisations that contribute to a regenerative local food system and a wilder, more nature-filled region.

You’ll find a collection of regenerative and organic growers, bakers, makers, street food vendors, crafters, charities, community groups, demos, workshops and more!

The areas of focus for this year’s event are:

Regenerative, organic and agroecological food production

Summer Solstice Book Fair

Join the Northern Fiction Alliance and Hyde Park Book Club at the Summer Solstice Book Fair! Drop in between 11am and 3pm to browse the latest books from the North's best indie publishers.

They'll be selling everything from poetry to short stories, sci-fi to literary fiction, so pop along to find your new favourite book.

From 3.45pm onwards, settle in for some author readings, followed by networking drinks with the authors and publishers.

Community Book Swap

Novel Notions is a community book swap, held quarterly at Headrow House. The idea is simple; drop off some books that are collecting dust on your shelves and get a token per book that you pass on. Grab a filter coffee or a bite to eat downstairs, then come back and explore the wide range of books dropped off by Leeds' bookish community. Scout through forgotten classics, nab a new release and find new favourites!

Second Hand Sunday

Let's go book lovers.

We're appalled by the recent Supreme Court ruling so let's raise funds for the Good Law Project. They have an ongoing fighting fund for trans rights and are actively challenging the ruling.

The shop will be filled with pre-loved queer books so come on down. If it's busy when you arrive, then it's worth popping back because there are always quiet times later in the day.
