King Zepha - Live at Sela

King Zepha will be live at Sela on Thursday 9th May with their original jump blues, rocksteady, ska & dub with honkin' horns, thumpin' double bass and raucous 4-part vocal harmonies.

Tickets are PAYF with a £5 suggested donation and all the money goes helps to support our live music program at Sela. There will be a tip jar on the evening should you wish to donate more to these brilliant musicians.

As always Sela will be open for pints, cocktails & fun times from 4pm with pizzas being served til late.

Cocktails 2-4-£14 til 8pm - Pizza til midnight.

For their first  LJF '24 session, Jazz Club have camped up in one of their absolute favourite Leeds hangs, the legendary Chemic. A community pub, which favours a warm welcome, a good pint and a shedload of music

Jazz Club want to bring something pretty special for their back room, and thought of their old friends The Shadow Quartet, an outfit truly worthy of this hallowed ground.

Expect to hear spiritual jazz from the sixties and seventies drawing on influences from the likes of Joe Henderson, Alice Coltrane, Chico Hamilton and the sounds of the Impulse record label.

For Leeds Jazz Festival 2024, Hyde Park Book Club has joined forces with Leeds jazz legend DJ Lubi (Lubi Jovanovic) to present a special commission (by Lubi) for one night only bringing together two of the city's favourite and best known jazz musicians paying homage to a living legend of Brazilian music. This live gig will be followed by the weekly Hyde Park Jazz Club and jam at 9pm in the main bar (free entry)

Hyde Park Jazz Club present Paper Daisies + an Open Jam

Hyde Park Jazz Club return for their weekly Thursday night jazz gig and open jam.

For the live set we have Paper Daises - who aim to incorporate elements of recent contemporary jazz into their music to create a fluid, expressive sound. With each instrument having their own defined space in the group, there's a heavy emphasis on having a conversational nature to the performances.

Jazz Kissa

Club 15, Echelon Coffee and Bottle Chop have collaborated to bring Japanese Jazz listening culture to Leeds for the very first time. Inspired by the listening bars of Japan, this special pop up Jazz Kissa will transform North Leeds into the backstreets of Tokyo.

The event will feature a custom-built audiophile sound system, manually brewed coffee from specially roasted beans and natural wines, as well as a curated vinyl collection of rare Japanese and World Jazz playing throughout. Join us for a unique sensory experience.
