Ring the Bells! Christmas choir concert

Leeds Guild of Singers will perform a special Christmas concert on Sunday 15 December at 3pm at St John's Church in the village of Adel. 

LGS is one of Yorkshire's finest chamber choirs, recently praised in audience feedback for its "wonderful purity of tone, accuracy of pitch and clarity of diction", and will perform an enchanting selection of works from the Christmas choral repertoire, which will surely warm your heart on a December afternoon.

Ring the Bells! Christmas Choir Concert

Leeds Guild of Singers will perform a special Christmas concert on Saturday 7 December at 3pm at St Michael’s Church in the heart of Headingley.

Venetian Concertos

Leeds Baroque Orchestra, directed by Peter Holman return to the relaxed surroundings of The Old Woollen at Sunny Bank Mills for another exploration of the Italian Concerto. They are joined by two notable soloists: Gail Hennessy (Baroque oboe) and leader of the orchestra Asuka Sumi (Baroque violin) to perform a wide-ranging programme of music representative of Venetian taste in the late 17th - early 18th Century. Works by Vivaldi predominate but the programme includes Marcello’s popular Concerto in D minor and Albinoni’s Sonata a cinque in G minor, op.

Winter's End: Melodies of Love

Step into a world where the strings tell stories of love, heritage, and renewal as the renowned multi-instrumentalist Kirpal Singh Panesar graces the stage with his latest creation, Melodies of Love. Through a mesmerising interplay of classical rhythms and soul-stirring melodies, Panesar transports listeners to a place where music transcends time, weaving together the emotions of the past with the hopes of the present.

Celebration 25 - Two Great Mass Settings

Leeds Baroque open their 25th Anniversary season with two contrasting Mass settings: Joseph Haydn’s well-known 'Nelson' Mass  - the Missa in angustiis (Mass for troubled times) scored for Soprano Solo, Chorus, strings,  three trumpets, and organ and, thanks to support from the Instituto Cervantes and the Consulate General of Spain,  Valls’s Missa Scarla Aretina. This is scored for three- part choir, single strings, two trumpets and harp.

Carols at Christmas with Leeds Festival Chorus

Join us for our well-loved Christmas concert on Saturday 14th December, at 7:30pm, at St Edmund’s Church, Roundhay.

It will be a delightful evening of Christmas music, ranging from Poulenc’s stunning Four Christmas Motets, to Christmas favourites such as Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. There might even be one or two festive surprises thrown in!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a carol concert without the chance to sing along to some of your favourite carols as well.

Home Alone In Concert

A true holiday favourite, this beloved comedy classic features renowned composer John Williams’ charming and delightful score performed live to picture by the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera North.

Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who’s accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation, and who must defend his home against two bungling thieves. Hilarious and heart-warming, Home Alone is holiday fun for the entire family!
