At the age of 16, Lauren won the BBC Young Musician Competition performing with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to widespread critical acclaim. Highlights since then include her debut at the BBC Proms and appearances as soloist with the London Mozart Players, European Union Chamber Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra in Warsaw.
Packed with personality and humour, Crooners has been wowing audiences with its witty and exhilarating one-liners, laugh-out-loud silliness and superb musical numbers with the outstanding nine-piece The Mini Big Band live on stage.
To celebrate 50 years since we began in Wetherby, we will sing a selection of songs from our past concerts - music through the ages, to include sacred, modern and folk song arrangements, and featuring Vivaldi’s Gloria with string and organ accompaniment, and a piece specially commissioned for our anniversary, 'My Voice' by Paul Chamberlain.
