Classic FM’s Rising Star-nominated Aaron Azunda Akugbo plays the trumpet with harpist Milo Harper to present a night-themed programme of bespoke arrangements and songs that shed a spotlight on black and queer culture. Their programme includes works from Heitor Villa-Lobos, Florence Price and Lili Boulanger.

Come and Sing the Requiems by Fauré and Sir John Rutter

Have you ever wanted to sing the Requiems by Gabriel Fauré or Sir John Rutter?

Here's your perfect chance to do so in a friendly environment and in the company of lots of other singers of all ages and ability!

St Peter's Singers will host the event and lead the singing in the glorious setting of Leeds Minster. It will be directed by the brilliant Alexander Woodrow, with Shaun Turnbull on the keys of the Minster's famous Harrison & Harrison organ.

Odes and Proverbs

An afternoon performance of rich, moody choral music in the gorgeous, airy ambience of Holy Trinity Church, Boar Lane, Leeds.

The concert repertoire spans six centuries of choral music, with styles ranging from a set of intensely nostalgic part songs by Johannes Brahms to modern prayer settings by Knut Nystedt. The programme also includes pieces by Imogen Holst, Benjamin Britten and Galina Grigorjeva.

This new commission, funded by PRS Foundation Talent Development Network (TDN), supported by PPL and Arts Council of England, brings together a diverse group of artists—including musicians, poets, and sound and lighting designers—led by the creative force, composer, and music director Christella Litras.

Our aim is to celebrate John Smeaton, a Leeds-born pioneer of Civil Engineering and his intention to create work for the public good.
