At Least Until the World Stops Going Round by Charlie Tallott

Village and New Dimension are proud to present a new solo exhibition and celebration of the book “𝘈𝘵 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘴 𝘎𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥” by photographer Charlie Tallott at Village, Leeds. The exhibition opens on Friday 16th August from 6pm - 9pm and continues until Sunday 15th September.

Hannah Guy's first solo show: Nightmares and Daymoths 

The debut solo show of work BA Fine Art graduate Hannah Guy was created from a staged photography project funded by a Berkofsky Award from the University of Leeds. This body of work retrospectively examines relationships to the pandemic, four years on. Through a collaborative series of three staged photographs, Hannah conveys her own experiences alongside those of two friends.

Intro to film photography workshop

In this workshop we will be discussing all things film camera! This is the perfect workshop if you want to get into using film cameras or have recently got one and are unsure how to get started.

We’ll talk about how manual film cameras work and cover some of the basics of using a camera so that you can MAKE pictures instead of taking them.

In the second of our SHOW AND TELL CULTURE series we are delighted to welcome local photographer and writer Ebony Wright back to Left Bank. In this session, Ebony will share her creative process and inspiration for the creation of her zine 'Wild'.

The Chapeltown Photography Project

A new photography project from Historic England has been launched, which aims to capture Chapeltown’s African and Caribbean community.

The Chapeltown Photography Project will be led by photographer and local resident Solomon Charles-Kelly who will work with the community over the next five months to create a portrait of the North Leeds suburb. He will be supported by Lens Lab Project, a Leeds-based non-profit arts organisation.

Nothing Lasts Forever: Peter Mitchell

Leeds Art Gallery is thrilled to present a major retrospective of British documentary photographer Peter Mitchell.

Known for documenting Leeds throughout his career, the exhibition will explore and reflect upon key bodies of work from Mitchell’s remarkable career and feature works previously unseen by the public. Peter Mitchell has a long-rooted connection with Leeds and ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ marks nearly half a century since Mitchell’s first exhibition at Leeds Art Gallery in 1975.
