Volunteer Call out - SAA-uk South Asian Heritage Month

In July and August, South Asian Heritage Month celebrates the vibrant cultural tapestry of South Asian communities in the UK, highlighting heritage, traditions, migration stories, and creative expression.

In the lead up to this significant time, SAA-uk are honouring the vibrance of South Asian creativity through exciting community sharing days. Taking place all across Leeds, these events will showcase music, dance, poetry, art and creative expression inspired by South Asian heritage — whether traditional, contemporary or beautifully fused.

NSCD Summer School

Get ready for a week of movement, creativity and connection at the NSCD Summer School!

Open to young people aged 12–17 (all levels) and adults aged 18+ (advanced level), this five-day experience is led by NSCD’s expert staff, alumni and guest artists.

With daily technique classes, creative sessions, and the chance to perform on stage at our on-site Riley Theatre, it's an exciting opportunity to dance, meet like-minded people, and explore life at a leading dance conservatoire.

Northern Rascals: Sunny Side

Renowned dance-theatre company Northern Rascals are taking their raw and emotional show Sunny Side on a UK tour this Spring.

The Yorkshire-based company will seamlessly combine theatre, contemporary dance and spoken word to explore the modern young male experience and the struggles many men face from adolescent to adulthood.

Our Power

This performance weaves climate action, British Sign Language, and Bollywood dance into a vivid language of movement. It’s a celebration, a protest, and a prayer—where the body speaks for the earth, and silence moves louder than words.

Sketches: Past, Present, Future – Northern Ballet

Following sell-out performances in 2024, Sketches returns with an exciting new programme that seamlessly bridges the past, present and future of ballet.

Devised by Northern Ballet's Artistic Director, Federico Bonelli, Sketches offers a rare and intimate look into the creative process, stripping ballet down to its rawest form: no sets, no lighting — just movement, music, and pure artistry.
