Mathroo Basha

Acclaimed visual artist and filmmaker Hetain Patel presents his latest work which uses movement and audio interviews to explore generational change across his Brit-Gujarati family.

Following the passing of a number of first-generation immigrants in his family, British born Hetain reflects on what is lost and what is transformed, revisiting rituals rooted in his family’s working-class Brit-Gujarati experience.

RJC Dance Inner North Community Committee October Dance Camp 2025

We’re excited to welcome young people aged 9–17 years, new to RJC Dance Youth Provision, for a fantastic week of dance this October!

10:30am – 12:30pm daily
FREE (funded by the Inner North Community Committee, Leeds City Council)

To secure your FREE place for the week, we will require a £10 cash deposit on the first day of the camp, refundable at the end of the week subject to 100% attendance.

Naya Daur - New beginnings

Naya Daur (New beginnings) blends storytelling, movement, and music from the Indian classical tradition to introduce a powerful, unfamiliar art form to older, socially isolated individuals. It culminates in a celebratory sharing that centres the voices, movements and experiences of the participants.

This project is going to be delivered in partnership with Neighbourhood Action- a charity based in Farnley, New Farnley and Moor top community, working with and for older people over the age of 65.

Wake Up Waves - 5Rhythms ® dance

An early morning class to get you moving at the beginning of your day. Whether you’re a natural early riser, or you need a bit of a shake to get going in the morning, this movement class could be for you.

A one hour class at 7:30 in the morning, with some great music and intuitive teaching. The freedom to discover your own steps, the structure to help you discover more.

Wicked-Themed - Adult Dance Class

We have teamed up with THE DANCE STUDIO LEEDS to bring this brilliant

WICKED-THEMED dance taster session to Left Bank to celebrate the release of Wicked 2 this month!

Leeds Dance Studio will host this fun beginner-friendly sociable dance workshop where you will learn a routine to your favourite Wicked tunes. The  routine will be easy to follow and accessible for all levels, so grab your ticket and get Wicked with us!

K-Pop Demons Dance Class - Adult & Child

We have teamed up with THE DANCE STUDIO LEEDS to bring this brilliant dance taster session to Left Bank this half term!

If you have a K-Pop Demons obsessed mini in the family then here is your opportunity to show up and dance with them! You and your child will learn a dance routine you can wow the rest of the family with!

Jam On Toast

WHAT IS JAM ON TOAST?

Jam is a community centred dance event for people of all abilities. Our structure usually maintains the same, with a 1hr 30min movement workshop of any variety and we then lead into our jam. We make a cypher (circle) which people can fall in and out of – to dance, together or solo. This is accompanied by live musicians who are there to soundtrack the dancers, and both can co-improvise together to build an ongoing score.
