Halloween Dance Trail

Have you ever seen a skeleton breakdance in Trinity Leeds? Or a witch and a zombie boogie together through Roundhay Park?

Breakdancing skeletons and boogying zombies will be busting their moves around Leeds city centre, as well as in Roundhay, Middleton and Cross Flatts parks this half-term with the Love Exploring App here.

You can join their spooky dance and find out interesting facts about Halloween in their creepy quiz. Each dancer has a question about Halloween for you to answer.

Studio: Hot Charleston

Charleston took the world by storm in the 1920s and it's still a whole lot of fun! Learn classic dance steps from this dynamic African-American dance. We'll show you how to string moves together, add your own flare and improvise to the music.

Advanced booking required. Beginners 3:30-4:20pm, Plus 4:30-5:30 (classes can be booked together or separately).

Lindy Hop Fundamentals

Learn the basics of Lindy Hop in just four weeks! Partner dancing is a great way to meet new people and so much fun you'll forget that it's exercise. We'll get your toes tapping to the fabulous sounds of the 20s-50s and have you out on the dance floor in no time.

Lindy Hop is the original swing dance, a dynamic partner dance created by Black dancers in Harlem New York, popular in the 30's and 40's (and today!).

The Bull and the Moon

Following the success of previous family production, Penguins, created with director Paul MacEneaney for Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Cahoots NI, which toured across the USA, the UK and Ireland, Carlos Pons Guerra presents his latest outdoor dance theatre production for children and their adults, The Bull and the Moon, an endearing story that breaks gender stereotypes while celebrating and supporting young people who identify as trans or non-binary.

Premiered in Bradford in July 2021, The Bull and the Moon will be performed in Leeds’ Yorkshire Dance on 2 Oct 2021.
