Pirate Bonnie

Fidget Theatre presents a welcoming, music-filled new play for 4-8 year-old pirates and their families.

PIRATE BONNIE

Welcome aboard, join the crew,

Let’s set sail for the horizon blue.

We’ll hear pirate songs and pirate tales,

As the ocean breeze fills our sails!

Pirate Bonnie is looking for treasure – but no ordinary treasure, for she is no ordinary pirate. The treasures she seeks are stories, the long-lost stories of swashbuckling pirates.

imagine if theatre company - Writers’ Toolbox 2

imagine if theatre company is offering an incredible, accessible opportunity for female identifying working-class writers over 18.

Writers’ Toolbox 2 is a six-month paid programme, starting in April in Leeds. The focus will be on writing for stage and screen and supporting women to begin working on a new piece of writing as well as giving them the tools to secure funding to produce their own work.  We want to support writers of all levels of experience, who have distinctive voices and incredible stories to tell.

Big Strong Man

Four Northern lads are given the impossible task of rebuilding Northern masculinity in one night.

Pete thinks we should get rid of this outdated concept forever.

Chris thinks we should listen to the King Charly

Jonny thinks that the only essentials are work, women, food and the gym.

Tommy thinks they’re all idiots and would rather be playing video games.

Pixiematosis

Everything was perfect in the midnight garden. The flowers grew, the fairies flew, the grobbity grobbits danced a merry dance in the twinkly moonlight. Then one day, without warning, the deranged gardener from next door threw the shed door wide, and let loose the massive-evil-pitchfork-of-doom!

PIXIEMATOSIS is a happy/sad tale of tiny extraordinary creatures living in a nocturnal paradise who realise, far too late, that they are being exploited for a distinctly sinister purpose.

Three Little Vikings by Wrongsemble

Three brave little Viking girls save the day in this bold and funny adventure story for little rebels, by the creator of the New York Times Best Illustrated Book Little Red and I Can Catch a Monster, Bethan Woollvin.

Once upon a time in a Viking village, everything seems to be going wrong. Chickens are disappearing, trees are falling down, and there's lots and lots of crashing and bashing. The silly Chieftain won't listen to the three littlest Vikings, but can they work together to figure out what's going on and save the day?

Curious Investigators

Scribble and Clipboard have a job to do: sort the recycling. But Scribble keeps finding new things to investigate. When she discovers a mysterious egg hidden in the rubbish, the pair need the audience’s help to rescue an unborn chick. Can we save a mysterious egg from a smashing? And what will we discover along the way?

Curious Investigators is a cracking adventure created in collaboration with engineering experts from Lancaster University: a delightfully surprising, highly visual show for 3–7-year-olds and their grown-ups.

Drift

Drift is a multi-sensory production designed in collaboration with learning disabled young people from Leeds’ East SILC, John Jamieson School. Audience participation changes the course of the story, giving audiences a voice in the outcome of the show. Inspired by a mix of video games, we imagine a world where the audience is sucked inside the sensory world of an 80s arcade machine. With 8-bit synth music composed especially for the show, and a visually exciting set with lighting created to engage the audience, the young people will explore the different levels led by the performers.

Murder Inc - The Improvised Murder Mystery
