National Theatre Live: The Importance of being Earnest

Three-time Olivier Award-winner Sharon D Clarke is joined by Ncuti Gatwa (Doctor Who; Sex Education) in this joyful reimagining of Oscar Wilde’s most celebrated comedy.

While assuming the role of a dutiful guardian in the country, Jack lets loose in town under a false identity. Meanwhile, his friend Algy adopts a similar facade. Hoping to impress two eligible ladies, the gentlemen find themselves caught in a web of lies they must carefully navigate.

Nosferatu (1922) + live score

With the renewed interest in the film Nosferatu, following a recently released remake, we're putting on another special intimate screening of the original 1922 film at The Northern Market on Saturday 25th January.

This screening will be accompanied by an original improvised live score by Anna Ross (synths), Spike Woodley (theramin) & Iris Casling (double bass).

*this is the second screening of the film at The Northern Market, which we're putting on due to high demand and a sold out first screening.

Hyde and Seek: Mufasa - The Lion King

Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline. Hyde and Seek: Room on the Broom

Animated film based on the wonderful children's picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

A kind witch invites a surprising collection of animals to join her on her broom, much to the frustration of her cat. The gang ultimately saves the witch from a fearsome dragon, and in gratitude she rewards them with a magnificent new broom which has room for everyone.
