INDIs Film Fest 2025: Filmmaker Day

The INDIs Film Festival returns in March 2025, bringing together young filmmakers, industry professionals and film fans for a packed programme of screenings, talks, workshops and VR experiences.

On Saturday 8th March, we have a series of events for new filmmakers at Hyde Park Picture House, offering opportunities to connect, develop skills and explore. These events include our BFI Film Academy celebration event, a BFI Film Academy talk with filmmaker Sam Barnett, and our annual INDIs Short Film Awards.

London Mountain Film Festival Comes To Otley

Otley Film Society are excited to be linking up with the London Mountain Film Festival to bring a whole host of short films about the great outdoors. The evening will begin with the history of Everest expeditions going back to 1924 and up to its centenary in 2024. Other films cover various activities from extreme snowboarding to street cycling to crossing Lewis in a canoe.

In celebration of World Book Day, we will be joined by the amazing storyteller, Olivia Corbin-Phillip from Stories with Liv who will be introducing the screening with a fun and engaging storytelling performance influenced by the themes from the film!

Where The Wild Things Are

Yearning for escape and adventure, a young boy runs away from home and sails to an island filled with creatures that take him in as their king.
