The Joy of Sonic – Art Exhibition & Celebration

Join us for The Joy of Sonic, a celebration of all things Sonic the Hedgehog! 

This vibrant art exhibition is the second creative collaboration between Pyramid, Flamingos Coffee House, and the artist community of Leeds.

Expect nostalgic fun, original Sonic-inspired artwork, community spirit, and retro gaming vibes – all in the heart of Leeds. Pop in, grab a coffee, and immerse yourself in the world of a gaming legend.

Portrayals of Women

A new display from Leeds Art Gallery's works on paper collection exploring how women have been portrayed from the 17th century to the present day.

The display brings together a range of artworks from Leeds Art Gallery’s nationally renowned works on paper collection which consists of over 10,000 items dating from 1450 to the present day. This new display includes a wide range of works including historic pieces by Ottavio Leoni and Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, to recent acquisitions by contemporary artists Skye Davies and SHARP.

Steam Toys & Meccano Show

Marvel at the displays of working steam toys and Meccano from local collectors at this fun and friendly event.

Enjoy this annual event from the Friends of Pudsey Roller as enthusiasts and collectors bring in their steam toys and Meccano to share with our visitors.

There will also be a pop-up cafe selling delicious treats and raising funds for the Pudsey Roller.

Normal museum admission charges apply.

The Wrangthorn Enquirer - ‘News From Now and Here’

At a time when newspapers are disappearing or are contaminated with the need to sell advertising space through clickbait articles, pop-up adverts for online services and a public lust for soundbytes - Hyde Park Art Club are delighted to present a durational Summer Season of free press and roaming ideas as antidote, delivered at Hyde Park Book Club by The Wrangthorn Enquirer.

These are some of the guiding principles of The Wrangthorn Enquirer, the radical community press that will infiltrate and document Hyde Park Book Club and its surroundings this summer.

The Architecture of Methley

The Methley Archive will once again share some of their extensive local collection at Rivers Meet Cafe for Heritage Open Days.

Through photographs, drawings and descriptions you will discover some of the remarkable architecture in Methley over the years. Many of the buildings are long gone but some have been repurposed over time to suit more modern tastes.

All Saints Church, Ledsham

Visit the oldest continually used building in West Yorkshire.

Grade 1 listed All Saints Church dates back to at least the 8th century and features in Simon Jenkins 'England's Thousand Best Churches'. Lady Betty Hastings is buried within the church. Local historian John Cummins will be your guide for the visit. He will also introduce some other heritage buildings close by.

Venue 33: Kirkstall Art Trail

Join us for the annual celebration of Kirkstall artists and makers on the Kirkstall Art Trail! 

Celebrating its 10th year in 2025, the Kirkstall Art Trail, which runs over 19th and Sunday 20th July, covers 36 venues and will feature over a hundred artists. Check them all out at https://kirkstallarttrail.co.uk/

This year Hollybush will be Venue 33, hosting 19 artists and makers in our barn, classroom, roundhouse and gardens, so do drop in if you can over the weekend.
