 Be prepared to stamp your wooden legs: Blackbeard's Tea Party are back with their latest album 'We Are People'.

Blackbeard's Tea Party continue to put their signature twist on British folk music with a contemporary rock sound. On this new collection they explore the past and the present to ask what it means to be British right now - from personal, political and piratical perspectives.

Christine Collister

Touring for the first time in four years, Christine will be performing songs from the “Children of the Sea” project along with a selection of old favourites.

Christine’s career now spans an incredible 40 years. Over that bridge of time she has released 24 albums, a DVD celebrating 20 years in the business and an acclaimed single with the BBC: the theme tune for “The Life and Loves of a She-Devil” in 1987.

Bella Hardy

Bella Hardy, the inimitable voice of modern folk, is set to embark on a highly anticipated UK tour. Hardy, a singer-songwriter with a gift for storytelling, has earned a reputation as a boundary-pushing artist whose work continues to evolve while staying deeply rooted in the traditions that shaped her.

The Lord Mayor’s Festive Ball Fundraiser

An evening of celebration in aid of the Lord Mayor’s Charity, Leeds Community Foundation.

Leeds Community Foundation is an independent grant maker, collaborator and leader. They bring together organisations and individuals to invest in our communities, creating meaningful social impact for thousands of local people, and building a fairer Leeds for everyone. Money raised on the evening will be distributed in grants to locally-rooted Community Organisations so they can be there for their communities now and into the future.

Carols at Christmas with Leeds Festival Chorus

Join us for our well-loved Christmas concert on Saturday 14th December, at 7:30pm, at St Edmund’s Church, Roundhay.

It will be a delightful evening of Christmas music, ranging from Poulenc’s stunning Four Christmas Motets, to Christmas favourites such as Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. There might even be one or two festive surprises thrown in!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a carol concert without the chance to sing along to some of your favourite carols as well.

Northern Star Organ Trio - Live and Festive

Catch local legends Bruce Renshaw, Robert Bromhead and of course Bob Birch on the hammond organ - live at one of the city centres cosiest jazz joints for a very special festive show.

Tickets are PAYF with a £5 suggested donation. There will be a tip jar should you wish to give more on the night. All the money goes towards our artists and keeping our live music program going at Sela.

We're open from 4pm for all the usual pizza, beers, cocktails and fun!! All cocktails are 2-4-£14 before 8pm.

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! Yes that's right, the night you've all been waiting for is finally back HO HO HOWLIN' RIC will be LIVE with his rockin' Rocketeers on Thursday 19th December for our traditional Sela Bar Christmas Show.
