We've got a BADGE MAKER and we know how to use it!

We also have stacks of materials to create neat zines and blow up your sketchbook!

This monthly meet up is a great opportunity to hang out and make stuff with other creative folk. We are asking for a small donation of £2 to help cover the use of materials  but if you can't afford it, that's ok!

Our cafe bar will be open and there will also be a tasty PAYF (pay as you feel) hot dish on the menu so dinners sorted too!

Community Crafty Meet-Up

In this monthly meet-up you will have the opportunity to get creative and work on a fun project every month - you could be painting pots, making books, printing ... we will create a fun sustainable craft project for you! This is a great way to socialise and experiment with creativity at Left Bank without costing the earth!

This workshop is free with the option to make a donation towards materials if you can afford it. The cafe bar will be open with a tasty PAYF meal on the menu too so dinner is sorted too!

Apocalypse Remix Workshops

Don't wait for the future to happen, come along to our Apocalypse Remix workshops with Edek Thompson and invent it!

Edek is an artist who is looking at how nature will adapt to the future in an era of accelerated climate change but with a large dose of humour.

Come and join us for one, several or even all of our workshops to work with Ed as he assembles his coterie of creatures; adaptations and mutations all spliced with the funny gene.

No art experience needed . . .

Create a Theatrical Animal Mask with Tracy Lau

In this session you'll create your very own animal themed mask - this could be used for a theatrical project, as home decor, or just as a skill building exercise.

Tracy, will guide you in how to build up and sculpt facial features beginning with a plain mask. Using predominaly recycled and sustainable materials, your animal will begin to take shape. You will then get the opportunity to refine it using papermache.

This session is ideal for those who are interested in 3D construction, theatre work or puppetry - or if you just want to have a go at something creative!

Zine-Making Workshop

Explore the art of zine-making in the gorgeous setting of the Leeds Library.

You’ll be introduced to what a zine is: a DIY, creative, experimental way of putting together words and images, which can be about whatever you want.

The workshop leader will demonstrate different ways of folding paper to make a classic zine format. Then we will work with collage, stamps, stencils and cut n’ paste to make a unique zine.

For inspiration, you will be able to look through a collection of zines, or find ideas from everything surrounding you in the library.

Curve

Join us in as we launch the newest independent gallery space in Leeds, above Fabrication Crafts a Social Enterprise supporting local artists and makers.

The exhibition runs until the end of June.
