Pottery Taster Session - Hand-building and Throwing on the Wheel

Join us at Swarthmore and spend some time with professional ceramacist Jeannie Waterhouse for our Pottery Taster session!

Whether you want to try a new skill or create a masterpiece this three-hour taster class will give you a chance to experience what it is like to work with clay. You will learn how to create hand built pieces using coiling techniques, and decorate your work with coloured slip and glazes.

Life Drawing 4-Week course with life model

Venture into life drawing in this relaxed, supportive four-week course taught by experienced artist and tutor Boris Cruse. You'll explore figure drawing, including line, gesture and shade, and develop your own artistic style.

Professional artist and Northlight Artistic Director Boris Cruse has many years' experience teaching with arts organisations in Leeds and beyond.

This four week course runs on Mondays 5:30pm - 7:30pm 1, 8, 22, 29 September

Life Drawing 4-Week course with life model

Venture into life drawing in this relaxed, supportive four-week course taught by artist and tutor Paul Digby. You'll explore figure drawing including line, gesture and shade to develop your own artistic style.

Paul has a strong portfolio exhibiting extensively, including EAST Gallery, Royal Society of Sculptors Gallery, Leeds City Gallery, the Cornerhouse in Manchester and the Saatchi Gallery. www.pauldigby.co.uk

Paper Making with Charlotte Hullah

A free workshop as part of Creativity and Wellbeing Week.

Learn how you can recycle and make your own paper – it is super easy and relaxing to do! And once you know how, it can easily be done at home.

Charlotte will bring all the supplies and equipment you need to make your own paper.

Once it’s been made, it needs a couple of days to dry, after which you can come back to pick it up.

Who doesn't love a scrunchie? Make your own at our fun and interactive workshop with Tom-O on Wednesday 18th June, we'll have a selection of different fabrics and threads ready for you to pick a pattern that you'll love.
