Preparing imagery for screen printing
Coating & exposing screens
Mixing inks
Screen printing methods
Heat setting/fixing inks to make them washable
You’ll come away from the session with some finished products with your own design screen printed onto them and a whole lot of knowledge to continue with your own projects.
This taster session explores embossing techniques to produce subtle images on paper.
The process uses no ink but creates raised and textured areas on paper using a range of different found materials.
You will discover how to soak and use a range of papers to create embossed pieces using our traditional etching presses in the workshop.

The team behind the award-winning North Leeds, Harrogate, Ilkley & Riverside Food & Drink Festivals has collaborated with Mustard Wharf, the celebrated rental development with community at its heart, and will open its doors for the first time at the end of August on Leeds’ South Bank, Tower Works.
Gently but expertly guided by Monair, you will be observing from life and the examples in Art Library books and Special Collections to produce botanical drawings.You will learn colour mixing and transfer all your ideas to a final piece using Winsor and Newton watercolour paints.
All materials are included and the paint palette will be yours to take home.
