Readings by a different local published poet each month and this month we delighted to welcome JANE SHARP
Jane Sharp is a poet from Barnsley. She’s been published in The Dalesman, Dream Catcher, Voices for Change, and the online zines Fig Tree, 60 Odd Poets and The Starbeck Orion, has had work in various anthologies and broadcast on BBC Radio. She won the Nine Lives Slam in Sheffield and has headlined at several poetry events.
'Song of the Sea' tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse - the last Seal-child - who embark on a fantastic journey back to their home by the Sea, across a fading world of ancient Irish legends and magic, a world that needs Saoirse to find her voice and sing the 'Song of the Sea' to save all of fairie kind from being lost forever.
An evening of discussions and readings with acclaimed poets Michael Nardone (Montréal) and Steven Zultanski (Copenhagen) alongside writers from the postgraduate Kerning workshop group.

Fresh Junk and Aamina Stenhouse have joined forces to bring you Jam On Toast, a space for dancers and musicians to meet, exchange knowledge and jam.
The evening is split into two, with a dance workshop followed by an open styles jam - accompanied with live musicians! The Jam is open styles which means that any dancer of any background can join in. We welcome those with and without experience and foster a space for connection and exchange.
