1940's Murder Mystery Evening at The Mansion

It’s 1947 and you are all actors and actresses who have been invited to a party being held to celebrate the resumption of film making at Pynewood Studios after the War. The auditions for Stefan Spellbinder’s the latest blockbusting movie “Dying to tell You” are to be held in the morning and everyone who is anyone in the film world will be at tonight’s “star studded” gala. Why not come in 1940s costume or black tie?

International Jousting Tournament

It’s tournament time again at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

Over the Easter bank holiday weekend, we will be welcoming international teams of knights from Germany and the USA, as well as our home-grown Royal Armouries team competing for the UK.

This is no choreographed show of ‘black’ and ‘white’ knights in a contrived battle of good versus evil – this is full-on, all-out authentic competition with thrills and spills, victory and honour, plus plenty of pomp and pageantry.
