The Calverley Old Hall site features a holiday-let which sleeps 10, a hireable Community Space, a Community Garden which is open for all during daylight hours and a museum room in the historic Chapel which is open on selected Mondays and Fridays. The site is open on regular weekends throughout the year for free public Open Days and other events.
Calverley Old Hall is a Grade I-listed manor house which, before rescue and conversion work began in 2022, was considered amongst the most at-risk buildings in England.
The building originally came to The Landmark Trust in 1982, and one corner of Calverley Old Hall held a Landmark for four decades. In 2022, thanks to £1,750,000 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and many other generous supporters, we were able at last to begin a major, two-year project to bring the whole site back into new use, creating spectacular self-catering holiday accommodation for up to 10 people alongside a dedicated space for local communities.
In 2024, it was announced that Calverley Old Hall has been removed from Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register. We are delighted to have been able to rescue and preserve this Grade-1 listed building for future generations, and provide meaningful training opportunities for the local community.
