Join Yorkshire Dance for Open Practice Week this summer with free drop in sessions running 9.30-11.00am every morning from Monday 18 to Friday 22 August.
Come along to move and play in our studio with others doing the same, all accompanied by an eclectic playlist.
Open Practice is a space for exploring, bringing attention to, developing, and sustaining your own way of moving whilst others are doing the same – in their own way. Find a space in the room and stick to that space. It’s your own little island in a room full of islands, or your own swimming lane in a pool full of swimmers. No matter your level of movement experience, you are welcome to join us.
Open Practice sessions are regularly hosted at Yorkshire Dance by dance artist Lewys Holt. Summer Open Practice Week is facilitated by Tammy Tsang while Lewys is on paternity leave.
Feel free to stay in our building after the session to work in our Artist Co-Working Space or make use of our bookable studio Standby Space.
