Event organiser:
Left Bank Leeds

As part of their exhibition with us Textilia 3 are hosting a FREE workshop.

Pop down and learn how to make a mini patchwork from recycled fabrics – a favourite shirt, grandad’s tie, ribbons and off-cuts of fabric. During the workshop, members of Textilia 3 will show you how to turn these treasures into a patch for your jeans or use it to decorate a bag or cushion. We will have all the tools and materials needed to make a small sample patchwork, but participants are encouraged to bring their own fabric too.

The workshop involves hand sewing and is suitable for all ages, beginners and experienced sewers alike. There will be plenty of help on hand throughout the session. The hosts of this workshop are the artists featured in the coinciding exhibition 'Treasured' - be sure to check out the art exhibition for inspo and ask the artists any questions about their practice.

The tickets for this workshop are free, however we will have a limited number of spaces available for the sessions so please only book a space if you are available to to attend. If you book on and your circumstances please just let us know by emailing hello@leftbankleeds.co.uk. Please also consider making a small domination to support our free workshops here at Left Bank!

Our Café Bar will be open through out the workshop for lunch and drinks! if the sun in shining our pocket park is a fab place to have a spot of lunch!
