Tuesday Night Live: TIR
Tìr was born out of improvisational jams in the breaks of a recording session, but quickly evolved into a project with its own identity, rooted in original compositions and a shared musical language. The trio draws inspiration from a broad palette: the spacious Americana lyricism of Bill Frisell to the meditative textures of Nordic jazz pioneers Tord Gustavsen Trio, Eple Trio, and e.s.t., and the gentle experimentalism of modern folk and ambient traditions. Their music explores themes of home, longing, stillness, and the quiet power of nature—offering listeners a space to reflect, drift, and settle.
Based in Leeds, Joe Wilkes (bass), Felix Bertulis-Webb (piano), and Eddie Bowes (drums/guitar) are long-time friends and collaborators whose musical chemistry is grounded in trust, conversation, and play. Melodically driven and emotionally open, Tìr explores improvisation and musical intention, where every note feels like part of a long, familiar walk home.
