The Speed Sisters are the first all-women race car driving team in the Middle East. Grabbing headlines and turning heads at improvised tracks across the West Bank, these five athletes have sped their way into the heart of the Palestinian street car-racing scene. Weaving together their lives on and off the track, Speed Sisters documents a journey of steadfast resistance against occupation, driven by the determination for justice, and a free Palestine.

Half of the proceeds from ticket sales for this event will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
This screening is part of the Scalarama Leeds 2025 Film Festival, a DIY celebration of pop-up cinema and independent film exhibition.
