You’re invited to take part in this beginner-friendly, relaxing afternoon of creating artwork and playing music together with musician Tom Hawkins.
First, you will produce a unique artwork using bright colours and bold shapes inspired by the architecture within Calverley Old Hall. You will then transform your artworks into pieces of music (or Graphic Scores) using both traditional acoustic instruments and found objects.
No prior art or musical experience is required and all materials will be provided, however participants are encouraged to bring their own art materials and acoustic instruments if they wish to. In this sociable session, you will receive expert tuition from Tom on creating graphic scores, group music making, and will have a colourful piece of artwork to take home at the end of the session.
