Readings by a different local published poet each month. This month we’re delight to welcome IZZY BRITTAIN

Izzy is a Leeds based artist, performer, facilitator and poet, and works across dance, story-making, theatre and film. Her work is often interdisciplinary, participatory and improvisational. She started to write poetry in her mid 20s. Her poetry has been published in Popshot,

Bloody Amazing, Artychoke and other publications, and she has performed at Leeds

Playhouse and Lawrence Batley Theatre among others. Finalist in the Write Bloody UK 2022

competition, her short film Still Witches (1) was selected for Verve Poetry festival’s Film

Event 2023. Her pamphlet Invocation was longlisted for the National Poetry Prize.
