Roots & Rhymes is a creative workshop and workout for all children and their parents/carers. We meet on Sundays at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, 10-11.30.

Join us for an adventure in the beautiful green outdoors where we will engage with our senses, explore our surroundings, flex those creative muscles, nourish our imaginations, and play with our fantastical thoughts! Roots & Rhymes workshops focus on language development, building confidence, connecting with the outside world, building community, nourishing creative play, and encouraging imaginative thinking. Workshops are loosely structured as follows:

1) Yoga stretches
2) Theme of the week
3) Facilitated imaginary play
4) Exploring
5) Treasure hunting
6) Shake down & shake off
7) Creative thinking
8) Magic mark making or creating OR creative writing (also hot chocolate time!)
