Polyester: Film Screening and DJ Sets

Adults only

Barb D'Wyer

Drag queens Barb D'Wyer and Nurve present a Friday the 13th screening of Polyester, directed by auteur John Waters and featuring the fabulous Divine as part of the Scalarama Leeds DIY Film Festival (scalaramaleeds.co.uk)

Blessed with a keen sense of smell and cursed with a philandering pornographer husband, a parasitic mother, and a pair of delinquent children, the long-suffering Francine Fishpaw turns to the bottle as her life falls apart – until deliverance appears in the form of a hunk named Todd Tomorrow

Inspired by the films of John Waters and drag legend Divine, we encourage you to dress in your campiest, trashiest looks! There will be prizes for the best costumes.

After the film, stick around to groove to the tunes of Barb D'Wyer (GYRATORY) and Nurve. Expect to hear house, disco, pop.

Themed cocktails will be available as well as a full bar stocking beer, wine and soft drinks.
