Join local artist Ella McBride for a tactile workshop creating sculpture through the playful wrapping and binding of natural wood with textiles.
Taking inspiration from Henry Moore Institute's current exhibition SUNLIGHT: Roger Ackling, the artist's use of natural materials and his meditative process, Ella will guide you in creating an abstract sculpture to take home.
We’ll use wood and textiles in a calming, repetitive process, perfect for families to slow down and create together.
This workshop will provide a safe, fun, and creatively stimulating environment for you to explore the themes, materials and processes within our current exhibition through creative play.
Suitable for families with children aged 4+. This is an intergenerational workshop – we encourage creativity in all ages! Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. Although aimed at families, people of all ages are welcome
