Step into the powerful world of Merlina Pearl, a bold new musical theatre production that tells the story of a young Jamaican woman who arrives in Britain with high hopes aboard the HMT Empire Windrush in 1948. But the reality she faces — of racism, rejection, and resilience — is one that shaped generations.

Blending spoken word, original music, and moving drama, Merlina Pearl shines a light on the lived experiences of the Windrush generation and their lasting impact on British culture. It's a heartfelt tribute to legacy, strength, and the journey toward belonging.

Following a sold-out preview, the U.K. tour kicks off on Saturday 10th May 2025 at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, with a second date in Leeds on Sunday 18th May, before travelling to Manchester, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, and London.

This is not just a story — it’s a reclamation of voice, history, and identity. Join us for an unforgettable night of theatre that educates, moves, and inspires.
