A night of live tango music with an open dance floor, featuring Matufia Tango (Martín Berger on saxophones, Pete Rosser on accordion and piano) and guest artist Carlos Quilici on bandoneon, directly from Argentina.

This is a live music event with an open dance floor. Don't know how to dance tango? Don't despair! There will be a free beginner's introduction to tango from 7 to 7:30pm, so there are no excuses - everyone will be able to show some moves!

Carlos Quilici is an accomplished Argentinian bandoneon player, composer, arranger and orchestra leader. He regularly tours Europe presenting his music and will be in Leeds in July.

Matufia Tango is a duo composed of Pete Rosser on accordion and piano, and Martín Berger on saxophones alto and baritone. They play original arrangements tango classics, and classic arrangements of original music.

The evening will include a solo set on bandoneon, followed by a programme of tangos in duo and trio. Dancers will be welcome to join us on the dance floor - Casa Leeds has a fantastic wooden parquet, so bring your tango shoes!
