Lodestar Trio blends Baroque forms with Nordic folk colours and improvisation, highlighting shared rhythmic drive and melodic ornament. Rooted in both classical and oral traditions, this music feels alive – crossing borders and generations and speaking to identity as something both inherited and reshaped. In this concert, Johann Sebastian Bach’s suites are reimagined through the rich textures of the traditional Norwegian Hardanger fiddle, Swedish nyckelharpa and violin.
