We have linked up with Leeds Civic Trust this LGBT History Month for a walking tour of locations and venues integral to the LGBTQ+ community of Leeds. LGBT History Month's theme for 2025 is activism and social change and we think it's important to know where a community has come from to help it get to where it needs to go.
The tour covers some of the highlights of the Rainbow Plaque Trail created by Leeds Civic Trust in 2018 and will consist of a clockwise circuit of Leeds city centre and include stops at Mill Hill Chapel, Blayd's Yard, The New Penny and Charlie's Nightclub (Queens Court)
Meeting point - the Black Prince statue, City Square (LS1 2HA / what3words rice.ships.staple)
Meet from 11.15am for a start time of 11.30am.
Accessibility information - this is a wheelchair accessible tour. It is approximately 2.5 miles in length. There will be regular stops as part of the tour and a fifteen minute break is included. The route is step free but does not have seating at the majority of the stops
