The LUU Big Band is a 22-piece Big Band, which plays a wide variety of dance band/big band repertoire including swing, funk, pop and jazz.

They perform at prestigious music venues in Leeds, such as the Wardrobe and Hi-fi clubs and are a regular visitor to JazzLeeds at Seven Arts. The band makes a regular appearance at the Leeds University Union Summer Ball at the end of the year, and goes on a tour to the South of France over Easter. The 2024 version of the band is appearing at Seven Arts as part of JazzLeeds Sunday sessions.
