This September, you are invited to go behind the scenes of the city's thriving creative community for the 3rd year of Leeds Open Studios – a one-day celebration of local talent taking place on Saturday 13th September.
Spanning beyond the city centre and across the wider Leeds area, this exciting event gives residents and visitors the rare opportunity to step inside working artists' studios, meet the makers, and experience the rich diversity of creative practices happening across the city.
From contemporary ceramics and fine art to printmaking, illustration, textiles and more, Leeds Open Studios offers a unique glimpse into the spaces where art is made – and often hidden. Visitors will be able to chat with artists, purchase original work, commission bespoke pieces, and engage with the creative process in an entirely new way.

Leeds Open Studios was founded by local jeweller and ceramicist Amy Stringer, who has long championed craft and community through her own practice. “I’ve always believed Leeds has a huge wealth of creative talent that deserves to be seen,” says Amy. “Leeds Open Studios is about opening up that world – not just to celebrate it, but to connect artists, inspire collaboration, and welcome the public into spaces they might never have known existed.”
The event also coincides with the Heritage Craft Weekend, making it a perfect cultural outing for families, collectors, and anyone curious about Leeds’s creative heartbeat.
