Nordic Indie-Rock royalty Hylur, having just touched down for their first set of engagements on UK soil, will be joined by esteemed friends and local phenomena No Wukkas and Rushbonds. After drummer Hinrik Thorisson´'s fabled journey to study in Leeds almost 2 years ago, it was inevitable that such a confluence would come forth, and now, in the raw, unbridled independent venue The Attic At Seagulls, the long-awaited gig will finally take place.

HYLUR are an Icelandic rock band consisting of four childhood friends. HYLUR’s music deals with the human aspect of our existence. It can be complicated, frustrating, fun, exciting and scary to be a human being and to sing about your problems in upbeat rock songs has a great healing power. HYLUR plays melodic pop/rock music. The members of the band met around the age of 14 in Stykkishólmur, Iceland and have remained best friends ever since. They had worked together on various musical projects before forming HYLUR in 2020. The band finished their debut LP “HYLUR” in the summer of 2022 and it came out in September 2023.

No Wukkas are a psych-prog-punk band from Leeds, bringing a colourful sound to UK stages in the era of post-punk domination. The band hit the ground running with debut release 'Awkward Positions' in 2022. Known for their wonky melodies, obtuse rhythms, and bombed-out storytelling, No Wukkas continue to push the limits of modern psychedelic music. æðöþæíúýáúéáö.

Rushbonds are a Leeds-based experimental indie band. After meeting during their first year at university, members Robyn Mcleod (vocals and guitar), Isaac Llewellyn (guitar), Rory Maslen (bass), Teruki Chan (drums) and Nika Ticciati (keys) began merging their five different identities into one integrated sound.
