This workshop runs alongside our current exhibition Tangled Up - the exhibition considers how artists use textiles as a means of exploring personal and political narratives. It seeks to highlight the power of textiles in activism and protest as artists question issues affecting contemporary society.
Suitable for adults as well as those in secondary school. Please note - any person between the ages of 11-15 will need to be accompanied by an adult, therefore two tickets will need to be purchased.
About the Artist
Henry has been creating original felt art by hand for over 25 years. His artwork incorporates ancient and modern felting techniques, alongside contemporary design. Using environmentally friendly natural raw wool fibers, soap water and rolling mats, Henry creates truly unique, eye-catching designs.
Henry’s wearable art pieces have been shown around the globe in prestigious shows and the designs have won various awards. With the use of vibrant colours and vivid imagination Henry’s one-off designs depict an essence of fun and creativity and can be tailor-made to suit individual requirements.
