The butterflies are taking over again this summer, and we’ve something for everyone to enjoy while finding out about these fascinating creatures and their habitats.

We’ve lots on offer:

Big Butterfly Count 2025. Take part in our special event on 19-20 July, with Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire.

Keeper Talks. Stop by and listen to our Keeper talks at 2pm (weekends) and find out about our butterflies, what they eat and their lifecycle.

Children’s Craft Activities. Pop by our Activity Room for some crafts and colouring. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times (weekends).

Tropical World Café. Treat yourself to a tasty snack or lunch in our light and bright café OR pick up one of our freshly made stonebaked pizzas at the Tropical Lookout open 11am to 5pm weather permitting.
