This concert will last approximately 50 minutes.

Sigfrid Karg-Elert’s three pieces, originally imagined for a theatre organ, provide a chance to show some of the Cathedral organ’s more unusual sounds. After Olivier Messiaen’s exultant Transports de Joie, the series comes to a rousing conclusion with JS Bach’s energetic ‘Jig’ fugue and some of Georges Bizet’s most famous melodies.
