This course is aimed at those who are complete beginners or for those who may have some experience weaving on a peg loom or rigid heddle loom but are keen to develop their skills.
Our vintage dobby looms will be set up and warped in the Weaving Shed, giving more time to concentrate on weaving.
For the first sessions you will rotate around the looms, exploring different weave structures whilst learning about your loom. The final session will be dedicated to weaving your own final project, this could be a table runner or cushion cover for example.
You will receive 1 to 1 help and support each week as well as group teaching and demonstrations resulting in you taking away your own range of samples as well as a completed final project.
The course will run 10am - 4pm for Friday 12th April.
Things to bring
Yourselves, ideas, a packed lunch (there are also places to buy lunch in the mill and on Farsley Town Street.)
We will provide
Refreshments (drinks and cake!), all materials and equipment.
(There is an additional £5 material charge per week.)
