Rachel Bentley is a contemporary artist based in Walton (venue no. 16), creating expressive, soulful works inspired by the Yorkshire Pennines, Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and the landscapes of Lower Wharfedale. Her paintings capture the atmosphere and emotion of place, inviting viewers to connect with memory, light and land.
Rachel is one of 27 artists and makers opening their studios for the annual Artists Around Wetherby Open Studios — a chance for art lovers, collectors, fellow artists and the curious to explore a rich variety of work, meet the makers and discover the stories behind the art.
Rachel will be demonstrating at intervals throughout the day and is opening her home, and garden, as it is here that she likes to paint.
At each venue, refreshments are available for a donation to Yorkshire Cancer Research in its 100th year, a perfect excuse to linger, chat and enjoy the day.
Whether you’re looking to add to your collection, find fresh inspiration or simply enjoy a weekend of art and creativity, the open studios trail promises something special for everyone.
Visit Rachel at venue 16, Walton close to the ancient St. Peter's Church. Venues 17-21 are just a short 2 minutes walk away at Walton Village Hall.
