In partnership with the National Theatre, Leeds Playhouse is excited to be hosting the New Views programme this year.

If you are aged 14 - 21 you could be part of an amazing playwriting opportunity, with the chance for the winner to have their play read and rehearsed by professional actors.

New Views is the National Theatre’s playwriting programme for young people wanting to learn and develop their playwriting talents.

These free weekly sessions will be led by professional director and writer Tess Seddon (Say Yes to Tess: A New Musical; A Passionate Woman) and focus on different topics when creating a script and developing your voice as a writer through exercises, discussions and feedback.

The sessions will run on Tuesdays at 5.30pm - 7.30pm, in the Weston Room at Leeds Playhouse starting on 17 October. The full dates for the course can be found here and whilst no playwriting experience is needed it is important that those who are successful attend as many of the sessions as possible.
