Letters to Leeds is a project that was born out of a love for Leeds and a desire to further understand and celebrate its greatness.

We want to invite people to come together on a collective exploration of the city. Whether you’ve been here all along, moved here yesterday, or are just passing through – we want to capture Leeds through your experiences. In order to do so, we will be holding three free workshops at Hyde Park Book Club that will encourage sharing your stories through different creative activities.

We have a series of workshops delving into world of Myth-making (9th March) where participants respond to prompts and create stories;
Postcards (16th March) explores people’s personal experiences through the lens of tourism through collaging some postcards that you wouldn’t normally find in a gift shop and Mapping (23rd March) we will be logging our places of significance. Find out about the workshops here.

The creations from these workshops will be featured in a publication that is produced throughout the project, which will then be released on  22nd of April with a celebration at Hyde Park Book Club.
