Introduction to Animation

A beginner friendly animation workshop at Leeds Animation Workshop.

The introductory one-day course, held at our studio in Harehills, is suitable for people who have no experience at all or who already have a little and would like to explore a bit more. Numbers are small so you can have plenty of individual attention if you wish, and ask lots of questions.

The workshop will take place in our studio in Harehills, Leeds.

Trash Book Workshop

Join Hayden to create a Trash Book using found/discarded materials such as recycling and queer flyers. You will learn how to make and bind a unique book, re-use old trash and collage with queer materials.

The book is very textured and is a fun stim toy for neurodivergent people or a therapeutic way to save little memories.

All materials provided.

Stitch Squad

This new monthly meet up invites STITCHERS in all your wonderfully colourful ways to come and hang out with us and work on your current projects and socialise! All hookers, knitters, embroiderers, cross stitchers and sewers welcome! You can also bring materials to swap or sell! We will also have materials available for anyone looking for a new project or a bit of Inspo!

The cafe bar will be open and there will also be a tasty PAYF (Pay as You Feel) hot dish on so that's dinner sorted too!

Badge, Zine & Sketchbook Makers Monthly Meet Up

We've got a BADGE MAKER and we know how to use it! 

We also have stacks of materials to create neat zines and blow up your sketchbook! 

This monthly meet up is a great opportunity to hang out and make stuff with other creative folk. We are asking for a small donation of £2 to help cover the use of materials  but if you can't afford it, that's ok!

Our cafe bar will be open and there will also be a tasty PAYF (pay as you feel) hot dish on the menu so dinners sorted too!

Community Crafty Meet-Up

In this monthly meet-up you will have the opportunity to get creative and work on a fun project every month - you could be painting pots, making books, printing ... we will create a fun sustainable craft project for you! This is a great way to socialise and experiment with creativity at Left Bank without costing the earth!

This workshop is free with the option to make a donation towards materials if you can afford it. The cafe bar will be open with a tasty PAYF meal on the menu too so dinner is sorted too!

Family Workshop: Eco Printing

To celebrate the good, the bad and the germy, unleash your inner eco-artist with this workshop run by local textile artist Kayleigh Davis. Taking inspiration from our latest exhibition Fragile Microbiomes, nature, and Kayleigh’s own work, children will create their own microbiome masterpieces using natural dyes on silk.

Free Drop-In Piano Dissection Workshop with Pianodrome

Join the amazing Pianodrome team for a Free Piano Dissection Workshop at Besbrode Pianos.

The Pianodrome will dissect defunct pianos one-by-one into component parts to be later re-purposed into 12 magnificent piano planters bursting with flowers, grasses, vegetables and herbs grown by local community gardening groups. These planters will bring a sensory explosion of colours, smells and tastes to the streets of Leeds and Bradford city centres around The Leeds International Piano Competition 2024.
