The UK's largest annual arts and light festival, Light Night, returns to Leeds City Centre this year on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th October and are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to get involved as Visitor Support Volunteers during the event.

Visitor Support Volunteers are at the heart of the festival, helping boost that community spirit and fun atmosphere! You will be situated at various installations across the City and the surrounding areas, offering a warm welcome and being the first point of contact for the thousands of visitors who come to experience the city in a new light.

From giving directions to helping members of the public use the interactive artworks, it’s a fantastic chance to get involved with Light Night and be part of the Leeds community (plus there’s a few volunteer freebies including refreshments and a ticket for the Leeds International Film Festival!).

It's a great opportunity to get involved in the local community and meet like-minded people, while experiencing the fun and exciting environment of a largescale arts and culture event. It’s also a brilliant chance to develop valuable skills such as communication, customer service and organisation.

All they ask is that you can volunteer at at least one Light Night evening (though both is even better!), are passionate about getting involved in arts, culture, or events, enjoy working in teams and are comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people.

Your enthusiasm for the event will create an extraordinary energy right across the city. Light Night Leeds simply would not be the same without you!

The shifts available are

Thursday 13th October, 5:30pm - 10:30pm
Friday 14th October, 5:30pm - 10:30pm

But there is opportunity for flexibility if required.

The deadline to apply is 11:59pm on Friday 16th September.
