Leeds International Film Festival - Volunteers Needed

Leeds International Film Festival is looking for volunteers from 3rd - 17th November 2022! Volunteering with LIFF is a unique and unparalleled experience, and they are looking for a small, dedicated group of people who are: 

Passionate about film, especially world cinema 

Reliable and available across at least four different days from 3rd - 17th November 2022 

Enjoys being part of a team and collaborating with others 

Driven to help make Leeds International Film Festival one of the best audience experiences in the UK. 

Volunteer benefits include being part of the incredible team at one of the UK's biggest film festivals, gaining work experience and developing valuable skills and a chance to see new films ahead of their release date.

Volunteers also receive four free tickets at LIFF36 screenings, plus access to selected features online at Leeds Film Player, whilst experiencing a unique festival atmosphere and meeting others who love cinema.

The Event roles available are:

Venue Assistants - These volunteers help to run individual festival screenings, leading on ushering and assisting Venue Coordinators with scanning tickets and reporting technical faults at screenings. A passion for cinema and excellent customer service skills are a must!

Festival Runners - These volunteers take on a wide variety of tasks to help the smooth running and operation of the film festival. An ability to think on your feet and boundless energy are required.

The Digital roles available are:

Film Crew - production teams/individuals who can cover film festival events and create promotional material for the festival. It's a great way to experience special events and behind the scenes whilst capturing the vibe of the festival.  

Photographers - covering a range of screenings, Q&As and other events, creating a selection of photographs to be used in social media, publications and promotions. 

Social Media Content Creators - working closely with the Communications Team, you will use your phone to create content for our Instagram, Twitter and TikTok accounts, be able to take photos/videos of the action and produce snappy and engaging copy. 

Edit Assistants - working with the Communications Team to transfer footage and content from the Digital Team, edit clips and highlights to be featured on our online platforms and help manage our digital assets. 

The deadline to apply to volunteer is 8pm on Wednesday 28th September.
