Last week I stumbled across Liz West's light installation 'Through' at &Model Gallery. I say stumbled owing to the fact it was a grizzly Leeds evening and I'd left work late, determined to get to the bus stop without any interruptions; not even by an unexpected arrangement of supersized glo-sticks casting their fruitpastel light from a three storey building.

Britain From The Air street gallery takes up residence in Victoria Gardens this month to share its revealing birds-eye view of Britain. The open air exhibition features 100 large scale ariel images of shifting coastal lines, historical sites, vast landscapes and industrial sprawl.

Plans are afoot for a new print exhibition from No Culture Icons at Northern Monk Refectory later this Spring. The exhibition will present a collection of Risograph illustrations from ten artists and all the featured work will be available to buy online.

For the past year or so Jonathan Turner has been taking portrait photographs of people living and working in Chapeltown from his make shift Street Studio. The project has temporarily revived the now deceased tradition of the Itinerant photographer, or ‘Smudger’ who, in the days before mass camera ownership, provided a cheap ‘while you wait’ photography service up and down the streets and seaside resorts of Britain.
