With just two weeks to go until Northern Opera Group’s debut production of Amahl and the Night Visitors, we’re very much heading into the home stretch of what has been an intense, but hugely enjoyable rehearsal period!
When we received the tremendous news in August from Leeds Inspired that they were able to support our production, we launched straight away into promoting our company and the show, and into finding people to be in it.

Earlier this year I wrote a play called Marching On Together, which focused on the fall of the Leeds United hooligan scene set against the backdrop of the miners strike. It was set over the 1984/5 football season, which had the highest number of arrests for football related violence and was also a season which culminated in tragedy, with the Valley Parade fire in Bradford.
