An integration of science, medicine and yoga
A one-day workshop
Friday, 10th August, 9.30am – 5:00pm
Join us for a one-day workshop of yoga and information on the science of fertility.
This is an ideal preparation when trying to conceive, helping you relax, de-stress and connect you to your body’s inner wisdom. You will learn poses and breathing techniques that will nurture your body in preparation for pregnancy, as well as some of the dietary and lifestyle changes that will help optimise your health.
Dr Uma Dinsmore-Tuli is an internationally renowned yoga therapist and offers a fully integrated approach to yoga therapy as the most practical route to the healing power of yoga.
Based in Stroud, she the runs the ‘Womb Yoga’ movement that uses yoga to nourish every aspect of our lives as women, and holds workshops around the world, including on fertility yoga. We are delighted to welcome Uma to Leeds.
Uma will be joined by internationally renowned fertility specialist Professor Adam Balen, who will give an overview of fertility from a medical perspective. He will highlight some of the important areas that are under your control when trying conceive and explain why we feel yoga can help. Finally, reproductive biologist and nutrition scientist Grace Dugdale will provide an insight into the science behind your reproductive health and how underlying biological dysfunction impacts fertility. Most importantly, she will help you understand how to integrate the best of medical care with the most effective evidence-based holistic, dietary and lifestyle changes to maximise your chances of conceiving and protect the future health of your baby.
